Digital storytelling in higher education and MOOCs have both featured prominently in e/merge Africa events. In this seminar led by Rashad Muhammed from Michigan State University, USA we are excited to be able to combine the two through Rashad’s work on the use of mini-MOOCs (or MOOCLETS) for the facilitation of digital storytelling.
The Digital Storytelling MOOClets include:
- A demonstration of how researchers can use digital storytelling to share their research experiences in emotionally compelling ways
- Access to content on a device-independent process for planning, producing and sharing of digital stories
- The ability to for participants to contribute their own content to the MOOClet along with other students, academics and professionals
