Your title is clear and to the point: “Interactive online Research4Life (R4L) course”.

My understanding is that you aim to redesign a current course in order to increase its reach and success, by improving engagement and interactivity. Is that correct? Your target audience of learners is quite broad and includes students, faculty, researchers, librarians. Do you think it is possible to serve all of these learner bodies, or perhaps you need to focus on one? (I suggest that, for this workshop, you actually do focus on one). The objective of the course is to develop navigating and searching skills to access research material. What is the expected duration of the course? Where are the learners situated? On/off campus?

For the purpose of this course we have decided to narrow down our target audience to researchers only. Our course will be a 4 weeks online course for off campus learners. As mentioned earlier we aim to redesign a current course (Online Access to Research in the Environment- OARE course) by improving engagement and interactivity thereby enhancing its impact on Environment Researchers.

Blandina, that is a clear starting point. Throughout the design process you need to remind yourself of this starting statement in order to maintain focus. Please let us know how and if you are progressing with this course.
