Digital Story Telling and MOOCLETs

Digital storytelling in higher education and MOOCs have both featured prominently in e/merge Africa events. In this seminar led by Rashad Muhammed from Michigan State University, USA  we are excited to be able to combine the two through Rashad’s work on the use of mini-MOOCs (or MOOCLETS) for the facilitation of digital storytelling.

The Digital Storytelling MOOClets include:

  1. A demonstration of how researchers can use digital storytelling to share their research experiences in emotionally compelling ways
  2. Access to content on a device-independent process for planning, producing and sharing of digital stories
  3. The ability to for participants to contribute their own content to the MOOClet along with other students, academics and professionals

Rashad will be joined by Daniela Gachago and Jolanda Morkel from Cape Peninsula University of Technology, South Africa who have previously led workshops on digital storytelling. This seminar runs from 15 June -3 July 2015. Don’t  miss out on this event, sign up below:

Rashad Muhammed is an Instructional Technologist at Michigan State University, United States. He is a learning professional with over 12 years of experience in developing, delivering instructor-led content, and managing learning systems. He speiciliases in Instructor-Led Training, Instructional Development & Design, Expertise in Courseware Development.
